Who am I?

I am Avindra Fernando.

I am a Software Consultant who has over 11 years of experience in architecting and developing modern web applications, automating workflows, and mentoring fellow engineers. In 2021, I founded Taprobane Consulting which helps clients transition to modern web frameworks. We architect and develop web applications and improve their user and developer experience. We have helped many clients ship high quality projects.

I have a strong passion for constant innovation, software architecture, and leadership. Through client engagements, conference talks and workshops, I have taught tech professionals topics such as React, Next.js, GraphQL, and Cypress. I regularly speak at tech conferences across the country. I plan to utilize my experience and motivation to help lead the future technology direction to accelerate the growth of companies.

I was also a lecturer at The University of Kansas, where I taught Software Architecture in the BSIT program.
